You can run...for now

Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim?
[Al Qiyaamah: 37]
[Al Qiyaamah: 37]
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful. If you think you can get away with the little things in this world than you better think again. The above verse is an indication that we are in fact attached to Allah no matter where we are. You may think that taking sheets of A4 papers from your office or maybe making a phone call to your husband to say “I love you” seemed sweet but little did most of us know that what we are doing is sinful.
You may argue by saying, “I only want to maintain a healthy marriage with my spouse”. Well, when there’s a will there will always be a way. Why can’t you use your own mobile phone? Are you trying to keep your expense low? Do you really think saying “I miss you” to your spouse at the expense of the company or the government is right? It is more blessful if you use your own money to make your spouse happy than someone else’s. A survey was taken on whether or not it is wrong to use the company’s printer to print out personal stuff. Almost 100% said it’s ok to use the printer to print out personal documents. A person commented although not asked, “As an employee of this company, I have the right to print out stuff coz I can”. Another person said, “It’s free what, besides…everybody is doing it, why can’t I?” If you are one of those people who think that it’s ok to spend a ticket to Mecca at the company’s expense then you better take a read at this simple analogy.
You are a proud owner of a manufacturing company. You produce high quality flip flops and export it all over the world, even to the North Pole. You have 100 over people working for you and each worker is responsible for her/his section. Now, as a man who strives to keep costs at its minimal, you later found out there was a huge increase in office stationary from $100 last year up to $2000 this year. Upset, you asked the accountant to explain this increase. The accountant said, “Umm…we bought a LOT of color cartridges this year coz somehow its always running low especially during the month of Ramadhan”.
So, you would take the appropriate action by interrogating your workers and force to find out who the culprit/culprits is/are. It could be just one or a group of them and it could be all of the workers. The point is you wouldn’t just say, “Oh well, let bygones be bygones, let’s just hope this wont happen again *smile*” to you accountant. In fact, you will sure that the person is held accountable for his/her action and make sure that his expelled from the company wish list and make sure that his name is entered in the “wall-of-liars”.
When that BIG Day arrives, all souls will return to their body and the old and young will be gathered. All will be shocked and in awe. When the stars fall from the sky and when the sky breaks apart and when the mountains crumbles from its core. Non-believers will have mournful faces and the believers will have faces that glitter like gold. The generation from Prophet Adam up until the generation of Prophet Muhammad will be gathered as one. They will be made known what they have done and what they have not.
