Death bed (updated 23.6.07)

Lack of discipline and lack of knowledge caused the society to be so unproductive and naive. To counter these ever worsening bogus issues, each and everyone one of us will have a series of roles to play and everyone will be the main actors / actresses. Somebody or a proper authority ought to teach those kids a thing or two about living manners and living itself as an Islam devotee.

It cannot be done in one day and that’s for sure! Islam did not become known in a day. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad had to face a series of challenges before he "completed" Islam. If we let these things go easy, nothing will be achieved. These negativities will be one of the contributing factors of our sad demise because besides social illnesses of youth in a nation, there are also politics, personal achievement, conflicting objectives, vanity fair and popularity.

We often hear problematic occurrences hailed from home and that fact is more apparent more so than ever. The importance of the world’s paradise (home sweet home) is often overlooked as secondary education centers are heavily relied upon. Seriously! Majority of parents especially in this decade take care of things with money while they look for more venues to quadruple their earnings. What they do not realize is that they are not teaching their offspring in the rightly way. Most parents think that sending their kids to "international school" (I care not to mention names) will give their kids more "education" and it would be more "trendy". Well, do they? really? are they "smarter"? You can imagine how "smart" parents are when it comes to parenting. Allah knows Best!

When two people, male and female are legally wedded, they are bonded with a responsibility which is to take care of the well-being of the family as a whole. Supplying halal food, giving a cozy shelter and some money for the household are just some of the obligatory needs that a man has to do. Not only that, a father would have to play a role in which he has to portray a good example so that the child will look up to him and be proud of him.

Ironically and sadly, most of the adolescents in our society have the tendency to look up to celebrities (actors & actresses); what they wear, what they like; what they eat; how they talk and what they do. The saddest story is that these idols can be seen as corrupted in variety of ways. Partying, drinking, staying up all night blabbering, jousting, gambling, having different sex partners..you get the picture. The worse thing is these idols they worship so much are not muslims. Its like the tale about the blind leading the blind. If a person follows an already-lost-person, how can you not expect your child will be more lost?

From there we can actually pin point the second cause of this bulimic inertia. Its very important to stress the importance of having a non unpretentious happy family. Newly married couples would roughly get a divorce in 2 years time due to reasons no one would believe hearing. Why is this so? Picked the wrong person? Rushing? I think everything will be ok when I get married? Peer pressure? Whatever it is, it can be solved really. But patience is the key and will always be is. Abdullah Al-Fawzan, a professor and sociologist at King Saudi University in Riyadh said that the loss of trust, sincerity, compassion and cooperation were also factors in the failure of marriages.

Key to successful happiness is knowledge and with the knowledge that one has can overcome whatever obstacle that is along the way. Unfortunately, many of us have knowledge but when it comes to practicing it, its hard to come by. We just like to talk and fullstop. This culprit is called ignorance. Don't you just like the way that sounds? A sight for sore eyes how things have become ever since kristal merged with astro. Things were a little traditional and conservative. and that is good because everyone would dress nicely, covered and unexposed. Afterwards, the exposure of the videos and profanity aired in the tube left everyone with a breath of life. It was like discovering there is life on Mars after all. It took everyone by storm and that made a huge impact on how things are now.

Mind if not used properly can be deadly. If it was treated good, then insya Allah, a growing up child may just end up growing decently even if the harshness around him/her tempts. Its with Allah's power that everything works out, its with the Kindness of Allah, we are not yet befall with hail storm, its with His mercy we are still able to live without to worry about the level of "PSI" index. If you just listen closely to your heart, you will hear that He is closer than you think.

It is downhill from here then? No, not really. Things can still be saved once we get our act together and try not to let things just be. We have to use our hands if we see something is not right, if can't, vocally, if that doesn't work, then, you can just quietly scream from the inside...

Most of us just never ask for help anymore. You do? To humans? What do they know? To the same person who created the problem in the first place. How about Allah for a change? Its the lack of confidence and discipline that makes our prayers (
doa) not granted. Say what? If we look around us, when a doa is being read, some would just rest their hands on their lap while some looked as if they can't wait for the doa to be over. There are also those who likes to yawn, to crack their knuckles, read books? and so on. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad cries every time he reads a prayer. It all comes down to sincerity. Have you ever?

As mentioned earlier, a father should set a good example for his children and not just some wacky guy with a bad hairdo. A father needs know the rights of each an everyone in the family. For example, a child has many rights but the 3 most important principles a father needs to give to his descent are:

1) To give the child a
mother how has taqwa (before getting married);
2) Teach his children
Qur'an;
3) Give the child a
good name which has good meanings.

The husband also needs to know what rights a wife has. This is by far the to most vital factor if one intent to have a
till-death-do-us-apart marriage. Giving permissible (halal) livelihood; food and clothing, fulfilling her physical and mental needs and an adequate place to release the bitter sweet taste of life. In Islam, the responsibility and rights work both ways and everyone is a winner. The guidelines are meant to be obliged is not open for questioning. Who dares to defy the rules given by Allah!!? He is The Guide, Infallible Teacher, and Knower (Ar-Rasyiid) and The Most Wise (Al Hakiim).

Some of the responsibilities of a wife to a husband are as follows:

1) ask permission to leave the house;
2) wife must be faithful, trustworthy and honest;
3) not letting just anyone into the house without the husband's consent especially male;
4) to take care of her pride and self-respect;
5) to keep her husband's secrets and so on

We hear so many people talking, discussing social issues and bad behaviours in a country BUT we see no action. Talking is cheap but action is as far as the eye can see. What makes a man a man or what makes a woman a woman? Well, in order for a child to grow up and become 'strong', the bread winner needs to supply the child with food which is not only nutritious/healthy but also halal.

A father or a mother giving halal food to their children would mean, a secure life on earth and hereafter. God's willing. This is because, a child growing up with halal food would have a more obedient attitude towards Islam.
You are what you eat. Halal food would effectively mean, satan (devil) would not be able to travel into their blood stream as all we consumed are halal food BUT bear in mind that satan will not give up just like that as he will try to find other ways to get into adam's seeds.

There are a number of ways satan will get into our system. There are as follow:

1) Through yawning (that is why it is a good habit to cover your mouth with your right hand when you yawn as this was done by our beloved Prophet Muhammad or try to cover your mouth as hard as you can). If you don't cover your mouth, satan will
slowly make you lazy. If due to some reason that you are unable to cover your mouth when yawning, you could say "aa u'dzubillah himinasy shaiton nirrajiim"

2) Read basmalah (bismillahirrahmanirrahim) evertime you do something. Perhaps, this is especially important for those who are married because if you just 'jump' your wife without saying any prayers, if you "struck a goldmine", then, your child will have a habit of satan such as stubbornness, lazy, bad-tempered and so on. This is because satan will be part of the action as well. Input and output?

When I say every time, I DO mean all the time. Such as:

a)before wearing your daily attire. For example undergarments, trousers, shirts, socks and so on
b)Before eating; if not you will for sure make satan fat;
c)before entering the toilet;
d)before you sleep (the very least you can do)

One day 2 satans met; one was skinny+naked and the other was really healthy fat+properly dressed. So the skinny satan asked the fat one how did he become so big, healthy and sharp (good looking?). So he started to tell the skinny guy what happened. I have found the best buddy EVER!

Everytime he eats or drinks, he doesn't recite any doa' or read basmalah and he does the same when putting on his pants and trousers. Then, the fat satan was looking at this skinny satan and asked why did he become so skinny. He then said that the human I followed always recite basmalah before he eats or drinks and always recite basmalah before he wears his attire. I wonder how many of us have made satan looked sleek?

Satan is weak really and unfortunately most humans tend to give up easily. We would normally give in to our desires and lusts. Most of us let satan do the talking/action/thinking for us and this would primarily mean you are worshiping satan when the only God that everyone must worship is Allah. During the day when hell breaks loose, those who followed the footsteps of satan will point fingers at him and blame him for all the sins we have committed but REMEMBER, on that day, he will act as if he had nothing to do with your actions. This was mentioned in the Qur'an. Satan promises to you is nothing more than just fabricated lies.

We often hear cases where engagements being slumped and weddings being canceled. Some of you might not have heard this but on the day a man and a female get married, satan will cry because there will be less people who will have sexual intercourse
illegally. So, satan and his evil squad will try to tempt either the bride or the groom to call off their engagement or their wedding. Are we going to let satan rule us?

Other ways to pervent satan from ruining our mind is by remembering Allah. That He is always present, that He is Watching, that our life IS in His Commands. This is quite difficult for amateurs, let alone beginners. It was mentioned earlier that patience is always the key. You might think that repetitions are annoying but you might need to consider this. Al Qur'an itself is repetitive. This is because Allah wants to be reminded over and over again of a particular message/warning/news until its glued in our stubborn head. Repetition does not seemed to sound so bad after all.

It is strongly recommended that if one wants to have a more direct impact on the Qur'an, don't just read the Qur'an but understand its meanings. The best way to this is by finding a Qur'an which has translations in your language. Just imagine reading a book in a spanish language, you pronounced it correctly but it just doesn't make to sense to you. The same goes for the Qur'an. If one reads the Qur'an but does not understand a single word he or she is uttering, how can one "feel" the verses of the Qur'an? Satan hates and get away from those who
1) reads the Qur'an, 2) understand its meanings, and 3) exercise what is in the Qur'an.

To be cont'd..

Allah's willing

Allah save us all..

Hati

Sedikit renungan..

KATA-KATA NASIHAT IBNU QAYYIM

menerima kehendak Allah swt.

kesenantiasaan sabar sehingga menemuiNya

Semoga Allah menyayangi kita semua..

Perjalanan semakin laju

I've read this somewhere a long time ago but I can't seemed to find the source).

ahhh..that smells wonderful?

In the name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

As an obedient servant of Allah, we must constantly reflect back the activities we did through out the day, the week, or the year: what we said, what we heard, what we saw and what we thought of. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is and will always be The perfect example to follow regardless of who you may be. With all the ongoings and changes around us, perhaps, it may be difficult to make this happen as we are often busy updating blogs, busy updating social website networks, busy with work, busy counting money and busy counting how much debt you have left.

Let us think for a second, "things we do today will have an impact in the future". Just like that fantastic movie! "Back to the future". Nobody really knows what the future holds except the Al-Mighty and if you are the one who always believed in daily horoscopes, then, you must quit while you can because without realizing, you are actually believing in something or someone (fortune teller) besides Allah and hellfire will you be 'resting' for all eternity. You will be drinking pus/blood for the drink and stale meat for meal.

I have read many articles where non-Muslim are slowly pulled in into this trap without knowing it! For instance, alcoholic drinks. Booze manufacturers are now trying to come up with a different packaging for alcoholic "soft drinks". They used to make it in bottles but now they wrapped it nicely in a tin can with an appealing logo on it. They must think we are some kind of idiot who would just walk into a store, quickly go into the drinks section, quickly scan into the shelf, found one with a nice logo, grab it and drink it! Unfortunately some of us are. Pity. What would a kid know in this case. Once you drink then its over for you because alcohol IS the root of all evil.

An insight of what alcohol can do. There once lived a pious man who was no stranger to the mosque. One day, he saw another "man" who "seemed" more pious than him. Curious, he approached that "man" and asked how did all the zest come from. So, this "man" started to get into details. He said he was once a bitter man, he drank alcoholic beverages, had many sex encouters and so on. The "man" then continued by saying you should do it to, perhaps then, you would be more 'obedient' than he was. The man also continued, "you have been obedient to Allah for 70 years, one sin wouldn't hurt..". Little did he know, this man was actually satan was satan disguising his evilself. Then satan gave him 3 options, whether he would drink alcohol, commit adultery or kill. He chose to drink alochol as he presumed that drinking would be the minor sin. Drunk and unconcsious, he had sex with a women. After gotten a little sober, not knowing what had happened he then killed the women because he was afraid that people would find out. Instead of commiting only 1 major sin, he committed all. Such a waste!

To conclude, you can see that we must be careful of what we eat, what we drink and who we hang out with because if our friends are the ones who drinks or have casual sex with anyone, you would probably end up like them. Think of it this way, you have a close friend who sells perfume for a living. So everyday you would say hi and hang around at his joint. If you do this often, the perfumes that he sells may get stuck on you shirt without even touching his perfumes. Its the aroma that kills.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "When an adulterer commits illegal sexual intercourse, then he is not a believer at the time he is doing it; and when somebody drinks an alcoholic drink, then he is not believer at the time of drinking, and when a thief steals, he is not a believer at the time when he is stealing; and when a robber robs and the people look at him, then he is not a believer at the time of doing it." Abu Huraira in another narration, narrated the same from the Prophet with the exclusion of robbery. [Sahih Bukhari]

Allah also warned us about satan and his deceitful tools:

O ye who believe! intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination of Satan's handiwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper. Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain? [Al-Maidah: 90-91]

So,
friends can take us into a journey of infinite pain and some friends can actually help/guide us to actually become an obedient servant of Allah which will lead to infinite bliss. Its our choice really..

Strong Vs Weak

All praises, glory and thanks due to Allah SWT who has given all of us health, wealth, peace of mind and especially making Islam as our one and true religion. May our Lord situate our beloved Prophet Muhammad in His highest position and may Allah also give His utmost blessings to his family, those who struggled to safeguard and spread Islam through out the world. There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger.

"And I (God) created not the jinn (spirit-like creatures) and humans except they should worship Me (alone).” [Az-Zariyat: 56]

Every single thing that has been created by God serves a purpose. For instance, water, amongst the many natural resources available for us to clean, to drink, to water plants, to use during ablution (wudu’) and many more and not to take for granted. Our hand in the other hand is used to lend a helping hand to our fellow Muslims, brothers or sisters and not to do harm to others or to make ruins on earth or yourself such as cutting trees, dumping garbage in the sea and piercing the places where no one should.

"But seek, with the (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this World: but do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not (occasions for) mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief" [Al-Qasas: 77]

As Muslims, we are advised and encouraged to protect ourselves from the mischievous tactics of satan who will always try to sway us from going to Allah’s direction. Satan and his troops will always device a way to make sure that Adam’s sons are misled into believing that what is sinful seen as virtuous and what is good is seen as sinful. In the Qur’an, satan had promised to Allah that he will make sure each and everyone of us becomes his shameful pathetic melancholy companions in hell. May Allah save us all from the afflicting never ending severe torture of hell.

“And he (Satan) said: ‘I will take an appointed portion of your slaves; I will surely mislead them, and surely, I will arouse in them false desires; and I will surely order them to slit the ears of cattle, and surely, I will order them to change the nature created by God.’ And whoever takes Satan as a protector instead of God has surely suffered a manifest loss. He (Satan) makes promises to them and arouses in them false desires; and Satan’s promises are nothing but deceptions.” [An-Nisaa:118-120]

Our purpose here is often clouded by dangling vague teachings and the thought of life would just end on a full stop. That very idea had led many to astray and becoming the contributing factors of social illnesses in our society. The idea of “everything will be ok once I’m dead” will be the cause of the demise itself. We need to set our preoccupied mind with the belief that…

Life will begin when death becomes of us

Death itself cannot save anyone from being free! and this is what 'brilliant' disbelievers might have thought of, "Death is the solution to every problem". Well, not really, in fact, once pagans / infidels / disbelievers / hypocrites / apostates / wrongdoers are buried, they will be treated with rage and pure harshness like no one could ever imagine.

“The Fire: they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon, and on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): ‘(Now) cause Pharaoh’s people to enter the severest torment!’” [Gafir: 46]

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad had taught us, through his teachings, to read this prayer (doa') just before we give salam during performing salah (solah).

Allah's Apostle used to invoke (Allah): "Allahumma ini a'udhu bika min 'adhabi-l-Qabr, wa min 'adhabi-nnar, wa min fitnati-l-mahya wa-lmamat, wa min fitnati-l-masih ad-dajjal. (O Allah! I seek refuge with you from the punishment in the grave and from the punishment in the Hell fire and from the afflictions of life and death, and the afflictions of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal." [Bukhari]

There are actually many ways to overcome satan's attempts to make us look like a fool during Resurrection Day. One of it would be fasting. There are two types of fasting; involuntary (wajib) and voluntary (sunat) fasting. By fasting, one will be guarded in a sense that your blood veins would shrink? Why this is good? As you know, satan can transform their evilself into whatever forms except imitating The Prophet. This a aligned with the hadeeth narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard the Prophet saying, "Whoever sees me in a dream will see me in his wakefulness, and Satan cannot imitate me in shape." Abu 'Abdullah said, "Ibn Sirin said, 'Only if he sees the Prophet in his (real) shape.'" [Bukhari]

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Fasting is a shield.

So, satan can alter themselves into the smallest form or to its biggest form. he will actually travel into our blood passage and this can be confirmed by the hadeeth below:

Safiyyah reported that the Prophet saw said: "Verily, satan flows in the blood stream of Adam's descendents." [Bukhari]

When a person is fasting, it will be more difficult for satan to get into his veins because that person is abstaining his body parts from all that is forbidden when fasting. Such as talking non sense, gossiping, negative desires and false intentions. The theory here is, we know that every single part of our body will need blood to funtion properly; eyes, ears, heart and so on. If satan is able to penetrate into our eyes for example, satan will arouse us to watch obscene scenes or to perform sinful acts. Ears, satan would encouraged us to listen to gossips, listen to "wasted" music, arousing beats and so on and so forth. The underlying idea here is satan will do what he can to make Allah wrathful.

Men may prefer buldging muscles but does this really mean that they are strong? Some may agree but the rest might not. Nevertheless, in Islam the strongest person is those who can refrain from getting angry even when he is wrong and especially when he is right. Interestingly enough, many of us tend to snap easily when someone started to make false allegations or spreading rumours about us or whatever that is that makes us angry. Weak are those who cannot control their emotions, desires and lust. In conclusion, in Islam, there are many ways to protect oneself from the angst of satan and his clan. By far the most effective way of training oneself to be strong mentally and not just by lifting dumbbells..

The Prophet said, "When a human being is laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their foot steps, two angels come to him and make him sit and ask him: What did you use to say about this man, Muhammad ? He will say: I testify that he is Allah's slave and His Apostle. Then it will be said to him, 'Look at your place in the Hell-Fire. Allah has given you a place in Paradise instead of it.' " The Prophet added, "The dead person will see both his places. But a non-believer or a hypocrite will say to the angels, 'I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say! It will be said to him, 'Neither did you know nor did you take the guidance (by reciting the Quran).' Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever approaches him except human beings and jinns." [Bukhari]

Allah menjawab Surah Fatihah

Apabila dia mengucapkan..

'Alhamdu lillahi rabbil 'alamin', (Segala puji bagi Allah Tuhan seru sekalian alam)
Allah menjawab, 'Hamadani 'abdi' (Hamba-Ku memuji-Ku)

'Arrahmanirrahim' (yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang)
Allah menjawab, 'Atsna 'alayya 'abdi' (Hamba-Ku menyanjung-Ku)

'
Maliki yawmiddin' (Yang menguasai Hari Pembalasan)
Allah menjawab, '
Majjadani 'abdi' (Hambu-Ku mengagungkan-Ku) atau 'Fawwadha ilayya 'abdi (Hambu-Ku berserah diri kepada-Ku)

'

kami hadapkan wajah kami kepadaMu,

Infinite pain

The air was still and he stood there feeling unbalanced,
What is this awkward movement, so difficult to manoeuvre,
It kept pushing him front and back like a rocking chair,
Tilting every now and then but nothing was there,

Weird Id say, this invincible force kept pushing him away,
he tried to stay away but the force can't just be bear,
His neck was entangled with this bloody chain,
He should have concentrated when the chance was there,

He looked down to see if his foot was still in place,
he then look upwards with a ridiculous stare,
What purpose is he trying to accomplish by doing such foolishness,
No wonder, he is just a walking corpse not appreciating what he has,

Weakened, he trembled, without any cent to spare,
What answers can he give when its time pronounce his demeaning state,
He can only stand there, listening and agreeing,
for all the things he had been doing, saying, and thinking,

Standing there blaming, pointing fingers at friends,
defending himself by saying that he was framed
by the group who once said to him, "enjoy 'em while you can",
and fell for the tricks many had fallen in depths of despair,

When asked if he had used his hands to give a helping hand,
but he only helped to build an empire to reach his pathetic fame,
the more words came from his mouth, the angrier everyone gets,
the more treacherous he is, the more worse the situation gets,

He always had the feeling that something wasn't right,
he asked his
fiends for help and they said to ignore it all the way,
He picked lust over conscience over hunderd over situations,
If he can go back and undid all that was there,

He acted as if he was blind and deaf from what has been created,
the truth that he saw in him and the recitals he kept hearing,
so many verses and point sticks were selling like ice creams,
But you just never listened and you acted like you just don't care..

Cara syaitan melalaikan anak adam

The more money you have the more.....

In The name of Allah, The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Being RICH is what the majority of us aimed for. Perhaps, the remainder would prefer a mediocre lifestyle and only few of us would "enjoy" being poor. Not many of us are willing to give up on our prized possessions such as collectibles, antiques and valuables. Humans often cling on to the things that are temporary. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w once said that the one thing the son of Adam love most if their belongings and they will never grow old clinging on them. The other thing that was mentioned by The Prophet was that old men and women will never grow old (get tired) praying that Allah would give them long life.

Rasulullah s.a.w once said that the one thing that the son of Adam fear most is death when in fact death is better for them if they knew. We can learn hefty from Prophet's sayings. As mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an:

O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and a Warner, And as one who invites to Allah's (Grace) by His leave, and as a Lamp spreading Light. [Al-Ahzab: 45-46]
Amazingly, many scientists are trying to find a ways to help people live "forever" and harder than it is for one to believe, they have"found" a way to live forever or at least live longer. Cloning and applying an anti aging medicine they say will do the trick. Well, the fact that matter is, it can never be done. Many may not realize this but death will come and one can never escape death.

The parable of those who reject Faith is as if one were to shout like a goat-herd, to things that listen to nothing but calls and cries: deaf, dumb, and blind, they are void of wisdom. [Al-Baqarah :171]

Obviously, these scientific breakthrough(s) are more than just a scam of a corporate mastermind to suck suckers money. Every single event that is happening in the whole universe is in Allah's mystic Knowledge. He knows how many leaves fall, how many fishes died at sea, how many people got lost in the woods and what bad intentions one has. Even if one jumps off the edge of Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, he or she may not die if its not the time yet (do not try it though). You hear many similar incidents like these going on everywhere through out the world. Many of us may say its luck but actually its Allah's willing. As a muslim, there are six (6) pillars of Iman and there are as below:

1) Belief in Allah;

2) Belief in the angels;

3) Belief in the revealed books;

4) Belief in the commissioned Messengers (peace be upon them).

5) Belief in the resurrection and the events of Qiyamah.

6)Belief in the predestination by Allah of all things, both the (seemingly) good and the (seemingly) bad.

Unfortunately, these pillars are often overlooked by most of us. Can we honestly tell ourselves that we can name each of the 10 angel's name and what their duties are? Or do we really know the 20 compulsory characteritics of The All-Mighty? Ironically, most of us would know our partner's favorite food, drinks, color and so on. True what some say, to love is to know and vice versa. Nonetheless, Allah is The Most Kind and The Most Merciful, we can take the time to love Allah more than what we own through reading, thinking and observing.

As mentioned in the earlier para, money is used to enjoy what Allah had created for us. We can buy the things we love such as food, cars, houses and so on. Greed is another thing. In this spectacular arena, we compete and we strive for that tiny pride. In a competition, there will always be losers and winners. And winners always have the last laugh and they will have most of what they bargained for. For losers, the least they will get would be a pat on the back.

Which do you think is much better? Being a loser or a winner?

Not many people realize this but In Islam, every tears we shed, every joy we shred, every gifts and prizes we received and every waste we make will be questioned in front of Allah one day. So, everything that comes to us whether its good or bad comes with a catch! The more you things you have, the most questions will be thrown at you during Judgement Day. And more money equals more responsibility! This is not to say that having plenty of money is not advisable in Islam but its how you treat the money. For instance, if you give charity to the poor, build mosques, build health centers and so on and NOT to beautify your name, to boast, BUT to set a good example, then insya Allah, you will be rewarded with a great bounty here or after this world has perished. BUT if you spend lavishly, give charity to the poor and boast about it, or insult them in an insulting manner, then insya Allah, hellfire is a better "home" for you.

I came across an article I read about Prophet Isa (Jesus). One day he was walking and heard noices of someone calling for help, suffering and struggling in extreme distress. He listened closely and discoverd the noice came from a nearby graveyard. One of the miracle given to Prophet Isa was to wake the dead. So when he approached the grave where the noice was, he asked from Allah The All-Knower to wake the person inside that grave. And with Allah's consent, the person was now standing in front of Prophet Isa. He began to ask questions as to why he was being tortured . So when asked whethere the man prayed (salat) five times a day, he said that he did! When asked if he fasted (sawm), and he also said yes! He admitted that he was a pious person when he was alive. Astonised, Prophet Isa then ask the man what did he do to receive such treatment?

The man then told Prophet Isa his story. When he was alive, he was a woodsmen. Everday I would go the jungle, cut wood and sell them to those who needed them. One fateful day, I was approached by a customer who gave me money in advance and was asked to send the firewood at his place. So, I went to search for firewood in the jungles. After obtaining the agreed bundle of firewoods, I nicely bind them together and head towards the buyer's place. On my way to his house, I felt hungry so I stopped by to a nearby restaurant.

With a full stomach, I began my journey back. While walking, I felt that there was something stuck between my teeth. I used different methods to get rid of it; tounge and fingernail but none of them did the job. I decided to take a little bit of that stack of firewood I was carrying over my shoulder. Finally, it came off. After dropping of the firewood at the buyer's home, I went straight home. I was tortured 70 years just because I did not ask permission from the buyer to use the timberwood I sold to him as a toothpick. I didn't think Allah would even look a tiny matter as such as this...

On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the Deeds that they (had done). Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. [Al-Zalzalah: 6-8]

Sembahyang Sunat Dhuha

"Dari Abu Hurairah r.a., katanya: "Sahabatku (yaitu Rasulullah saw) berwasiat kepadaku tiga perkara : (a). puasa tiga hari setiap bulan (b) solat dhuha dua raka'at (c) solat witir sebelum tidur." (Riwayat Muslim)

Aku niat solat sunat dluha dua raka'at, kerana Allah ta'aala. Allahu Akbar

Amin.

Kehadiran MU

Dengan Nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah Lagi Maha Penyayang.

Engkau lihatlah keadaan kami sekarang,
Ketawa seperti tiada berkesudahan,
Dibuai oleh keindahan dunia yang seakan-akan,
berkekalan seperti tiada noktah perhentian,

Yang paling menyedihkan,
Sangat sedikit yang menangis,
dan sangat sedikit yang sedar,
Kematian akan bila-bila datang,

Tidakkah mereka takut?

Kami hanya mampu berserah diri kami Ya Tuhan,
Berjuang melawan nafsu yang mendorong kepada kejahatan,
kami tahu Engkau akan mengabulkan,
segala hajat dan harapan yang kami tadahkan,

Sehingga waktu yang Engkau janjikan itu datang,
Engkau jagalah kami dan pimpinlah kami Ya Tuhan,
dan akan kami lakukan segala kewajipan,
dan menjauhi apa yang Engkau larang..

Cancer expected to skyrocket in Asia from yahoo news

Assalamu'alaikum wbt,

I hope that everyone is in good health and always in Allah's blessings. I just found an article about cancer and why it happened. Perhaps my article "40 days and 40 nights" I posted last Thursday can be of help. The task is simple; read the article I wrote and the article below and compare. May Allah save us all from the day when there will be no buy & sell and friendship means nothing.

By MARGIE MASON, AP Medical Writer Thu May 31, 5:51 PM ET

SINGAPORE - Asia is bracing for a dramatic surge in cancer rates over the next decade as people in the developing world live longer and adopt bad Western habits that greatly increase the risk of the disease.

Smoking, drinking and eating unhealthy foods — all linked to various cancers — will combine with larger populations and fewer deaths from infectious diseases to drive Asian cancer rates up 60 percent by 2020, some experts predict.

But unlike in wealthy countries where the world's top medical care is found, there will likely be no prevention or treatment for many living in poor countries.

"What happened in the Western world in the '60s or '70s will happen here in the next 10 to 20 years as life expectancy gets longer and we get better control on more common causes of deaths," said Dr. Jatin P. Shah, a professor of surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, who attended a cancer conference last month in Singapore.

"The habit of alcohol consumption, smoking and dietary changes will increase the risk of Western world cancers to the Eastern world," Shah said.

An estimated 40 percent of cancers worldwide can be prevented by exercise, eating healthy foods and not using tobacco, according to the World Health Organization.

But more people in Asia are moving into cities and becoming overweight and obese from inactivity. They are replacing fruits and vegetables with fatty meals full of meat and salt, which is leading to increases in stomach and colon cancers. Meanwhile, traditional diseases like malaria are killing fewer people — building an aging population that's a prime target for cancer.

The effect is already startling, with the Asia-Pacific making up about half of the world's cancer deaths and logging 4.9 million new cases, or 45 percent, of the global toll in 2002.

That number is projected to leap to 7.8 million by 2020 if nothing changes, according to Dr. Donald Max Parkin, a research fellow at the University of Oxford who is a leading authority on global cancer patterns and trends.

China alone, with its booming economy and 1.3 billion people, is home to about one-fifth of the world's new cases, compared to about 13 percent in the U.S. and 26 percent in Europe, Parkin said. Heart disease remains the top killer in China, but cancer is a close second.

Cancer deaths are slowly dropping in the United States, with slight declines recorded in 2003 and 2004. A decrease in smoking, coupled with early detection and better treatment of tumors is credited with the positive results — the first U.S. decline in cancer deaths since 1930.

Smoking is on the rise in Asia, where it's common to see people lighting up in airports, restaurants and even hospitals. Lung cancer makes up the bulk of all cases regionwide, followed by stomach and liver cancers. It also remains the biggest cancer killer worldwide.

"Lung cancer is the big one because of cigarette smoking. There are many tobacco advertisements — everywhere," said Dr. You-Lin Qiao from the Cancer Institute and Hospital in Beijing, who added that the odds are stacked against those diagnosed in China. "No matter if you're rich or poor, if you get lung cancer you die. There's no treatment at all."

While Americans and Europeans have been abandoning smoking, an estimated 300 million men are puffing away in China — equal to the entire U.S. population. If nothing changes, a third of Chinese men under age 30 are predicted to die from tobacco, with lung cancer already the biggest cancer killer there.

Smokeless tobacco is also a big problem in Asia's other giant, India, where many men and women chew some form of tobacco. Mouth cancer makes up half of all new cases in parts of the country.

A lack of vaccines that prevent cancer-causing viruses is another obstacle for Asia, which is home to about three-quarters of the world's liver cancers, caused largely by Hepatitis B infections.

A vaccine guarding against the virus has been available since the early 1980s and is routinely given to children in Western countries, but it is still not reaching large swaths of the Asia-Pacific.

Some experts worry it could take years before the new vaccine for the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus, or HPV, is available to women in developing countries. The three shots currently cost about $350 in the U.S. and are 70 percent effective against preventing HPV, the main cause of cervical cancer. It is already the No. 2 cause of cancer among women in Asia, after breast cancer.

"The problem is so huge that it's very difficult for us to know where to start," said Dr. Franco Cavalli, president of the nonprofit International Union Against Cancer. "All the new cancer treatments are so expensive, that already in the affluent countries we are not able to pay for them. ... So imagine what that means for low-income countries where you have $20 a year per person for health expenditures."

Regular screening, such as Pap smears and mammograms, is too costly for many poor countries. Treatment with radiation or chemotherapy is unfathomable for most. And in Asia, many patients seek help from hospitals in the late stages of disease after traditional medicine has failed to cure them.

Monika Bardhan of Malaysia's NCI Cancer Hospital has seen a dramatic increase in cancer patients over the past four years. "It's staggering. Every day I see a patient with breast cancer — I just hold my own and say a prayer."

40 days and 40 nights (40 hari dan 40 malam)

Allah is The Most Kind, The Most Benevolent

Allah had put us on earth for one purpose only and that is to serve Him. We, as His servants must do what we can to achieve Allah's shibghah (touch). Many of us sometimes forget how kind The All Mighty Creator really is. He gives us rains so that our plants will grow and so that there won't be forest fires. He gives us vast ground so that we can grow fruits, vegetables and tress & breed farm animals for us to make use of. Allah had given us the seven seas and rivers for us to appreciate and preserve. Allah dislikes those who does mischief on His earth.

The Jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them We have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief. [Al-Maidah: 64]

We have seen many instances in the past where humans were ruined because of what they had done and not because of what Allah had done to them. A perfect and a common example would be smoking as well as obesity. According to http://www.medicalnewstoday.com, "American government researchers said that obesity is quickly overtaking smoking as the country's number one killer. In fact, obesity is becoming such a problem that many experts now say it is compromising all the benefits of recent improvements in health care and medical breakthroughs." The irony for these two major cause of death is people continue to eat more than ever!

What they spend in the life of this (material) world may be likened to a wind Which brings a nipping frost: it strikes and destroys the harvest of men who have wronged their own souls; it is not Allah that hath wronged them, but they wrong themselves. [Ali-'Imran: 117]

This conundrum has been sparking a wider electrical wave everywhere especially in Asian countries. More Asians are spending more on eating and on cigarettes. Not only that, it epidemic
has become somewhat a fashion. A typical situation would be, "hey! Let's eat at McDonalds because that's where 'cool people' hangout and not go to an mamak (old-fashioned) restaurant cause I definitely don't want to be labeled as "not in it". So, it all comes down to your eating 'rituals'. If you're used to eating 2 full plates in one meal, then, you will probably end up dying 'heavy' and that would be troublesome.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (phub) through his teachings had taught his followers to follow his footsteps in our daily life; the way he eat/pray/sleep/interact/bathe & so much more. In fact, everything that he did can be applied more so than ever! For instance, every now and again, we are sometimes unsure what to do when times get tough or which career path we ought to select. One way of dealing with this is by performing the Istikhoroh Prayer (this is
a Two Rak'at offered when seeking blessing fro God Almighty). For those who aren't married yet can control your desire or lust by fasting voluntarily during Mondays and Thursday. One thing that you need know about voluntary fasting (sunnah) would be one needs to make sure that he or she needs to know everything there is to know about fasting; such as the things that will make your fast invalid like eating intentionally. InsyaAllah (God's willing), I will try to produce an article specifically regarding fasting.

As mentioned earlier, we must not take advantage of the things that Allah has created/given for/to us. Taking advantage of what you say? Well, have you ever run your tap while you brush your teeth or have you ever taken your wudhu (ablution) with excess water. I hear that you can actually take your wudhu (ablution) just with 2 kilo, let me know how much water is that in litre(s). Sadly, there are many more examples of this. Nonetheless, I pray that Allah will show you the right path.

Now, this is the most interesting part of this article. You see, what makes a habit a habit? And how many days does one needs to last before something becomes a habit? According to http://www.thehabitexperts.com,
a habit is a re-current , often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition. Basically, when you do something regularly, it will eventually become your habit no matter what it is. This is why in Islam, we are asked to pray 5 times a day and amongst other obligatory acts. This is to help us not to forget who created us in the beginning and to remind us that we will surely return to Him one day.

Who is it that will offer up unto God a goodly loan,* which He will amply repay, with manifold increase? For, God takes away, and He gives abundantly; and it is unto Him that you shall be brought back. [Al-Baqarah: 245]

*by sacrificing one's life/possession/belongings in, or devoting it to, His cause.

We appointed for Musa thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his Lord, forty nights. And Musa had charged his brother Harun (before he went up): "Act for me amongst my people: do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief,"
[Al-A’raaf:142]

Allah's Apostle, the true and truly inspired said, "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise."(Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

Anas reported: A time limit has been prescribed for us for clipping the moustache, cutting the nails, plucking hair under the armpits, shaving the pubes, that it should not be neglected far more than forty nights. [Sahih Muslim]

I have found a few facts about the importance of 40 days as shown above. From there we can see how important the development of 40 days is. For example, each and everyone of us is recommended to shave armpits and pubes roughly every 40 days time. Perhaps, this is to make sure that we are clean and fresh. Simple but often neglected.

So, time again plays an important role during the development for a baby as well as for grown ups. If one used to slack off during his school days, then, God's willing, he will do the same when he starts working. I've read an article about Behaving badly: Why harmful habits stick. It raises issues such as why do people still do it when they know its not good for them. From this article, it was concluded that its social acceptance that makes people do what they do. True, most of us are accorded to the doings of the majority; we see people started kite-flying, we follow; we see people started to wear sleeveless, we would not want to be out of fashion!; we see people giving tinted dark glass, we follow suit and so on. I see this as a social illness. Why? From what i have observed..

Most people often follow that is sinful wrond especially from an Islamic viewpoint and only a small number follow what is good

Examples are countless! Let's take just one of the many. Football (soccer in the US)! ah yes...everybody loves football, cheers and claps all around. Let's make that wave and chant, "ole... ole... ole..." Its really nice to see that people are cheering for their favorite team but really, do they do what ole ole ole means? That's 1. Men in shorts. Now, thats a term you don't hear often. In Islam there are guidelines as to how man and woman should dress in public and the last time I checked, it is obligatory (wajib) for men to cover themselves up accordingly/decently:

"The male should cover that part of his body which is between the navel and the knee." (Related by Al-Mabsut)

And...tell me I'm wrong...PLEASE

The `awrah (private parts to be necessarily covered) for men includes what is between the navel and the knees as stated by the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam), so covering it is obligatory according to Islamic law. Wearing shorts that disclose the thighs or show the shape of the buttocks, does not cover the `awrah. Neither does a dress that is transparent and displays skin complexion, nor a tight dress that shows the size, shape or bends of the `awrah. All of this is prohibited (haraam) in front of people whether the women are ashamed of looking at it or not. If the trousers (or pants) are wide enough and not tight, then one may tuck his shirt in it as long as it does not display his `awrah. Covering the `awrah is obligatory during the prayer and outside it. What many people do is cover their `awrah while going to prayer but are negligent of it outside the prayer. This is a clear mistake and a wrong act which happens due to lack of understanding or as a result of a misunderstanding of the matter.[link]

In some ways, the crowds are 'cheering' for the fate that awaits for the football team during Judgement Day but the crowds are all the same. We say we fear Allah but do we really? Unconsciously, we are supporting "men who wear short pants" and disregarding Allah's decree. #2 The worse thing is, this "dress code" is also happens in the Middle Eastern Countries such as UAE. But may I remind you that not ALL muslims wear shorts during football.

So, thats habit! Something that your're used to fond of seeing, hearing and most importantly adapting. Perhaps, this misconception had been overlooked by many (parents & teachers) ever since we were still toddlers. This is mostly because our upbringing were not directed towards an Islamic living perspective but more towards a non-islamic westernize behavior; remember as a child wearing shorts/tights/skirts/dresses/costumes/swimsuits and so on. These things we used to wear indirectly reflects what we have become now as we are "used to it" and we see it as nothing as it is me, I like it this way so please get away...

Fortunately, in Islam, there is always solutions in every situation/problem/dilemma/issues/sickness except death.

Allah SWT never send down a disease to mankind without sending down a cure for it. [Narrated by Imam Bukhari]

One of the way to change the negative habits is through knowledge. If we have the facts right, we can then analyze and decide. Self-discipline is another factor which I think is very crucial in scrapping of that bad habit of ours. Istiqomah or regularity & consistency is also important as many of us are often forgetful and neglectful with our surrounding. Sincerity is perhaps the root of all goodness because if one is sincere, Allah will guide him/her through, insyaAllah. "Allah will help those who help themselves." Patience is the key to success. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad saw had shown many examples where his patience in daawah had prevailed worldwide. They say, Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, actually, they were wrong! The biggest weapon a muslim could ever have is invinsible, untouchable & everlasting and that is the power of Doa (prayer). Doa is a weapon for a believer. Have faith in our doa, and seek help from Allah SWT.

"Doa can protect againtst the test that had been sent down and also those which had not been sent down. When the test was being sent down, the test and doa will clash against each other until the Day of Judgement". [Narrated by Hakim]

You need to be aware that doa alone cannot work without effort as well as fulfilling your duty as a muslim; pray daily and not according to the season you are in. Ever wonder why we Muslims were asked to fast in Ramadhan for 30 days? All knowledge is only known by the Creator. Not only its 1 of the 5 pillars of Islam but I think, its to teach us to be a better muslim devotee but then again you need to ascertain that you are actually fasting and not 'just fasting'.

Actually fasting - avoid all things which make the fast invalid and lesser 'points'
Just fasting - acting like normal days or pretending to fast: still go to the fridge/still watch haram things/still bad mouthing/smoke still and normal list goes on.

May Allah SWT saves us from hellfire and pour His Blessings
unto us.
