MY QURAN WITH ME IN MY GRAVE

"I am the Qur'an that you used to recite audibly and silently."

It is reported in "Bazaaz" that when a recitor of the Qur'an dies and
his family is busy in arranging the bathing and shrouding of the body,
the Qur'an comes to the deceased in a beautiful form.

It stays by the head of the deceased until they are wrapped in their
burial shroud. Once in the burial shroud, the Qur'an moves to the
chest and stays there until the deceased is lowered into the grave.
Once lowered into the grave, dirt is put on the grave and the family
and friends of the deceased leave.

Then the angels come to question the deceased and wake him up. At that
time, the Qur'an becomes a barrier between the angels and the
deceased.

The angel's say, "Move away, so that we can question him."

The Qur'an replies, "By Allah! That is not possible. Undoubtedly, this
is my friend and companion and I cannot forsake and leave him now. I
will protect him fully. If you have been ordered to interrogate, then
act upon that because I will not leave his side until I get him
entered into paradise."

Then the Qur'an looks at the deceased and says, "I am the Qur'an that
you used to recite audibly and silently." (Masnad Bazaaz)

ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMADIN ABDIKA WA RASOOLIKA WA SALLI ALAL
MU'MINEENA WAL MU'MINAATI WAL MUSLIMEENA WAL MUSLIMAATI.

There is no other thing or virtue equivalent to the recitation of Sura
Mulk for the removal of the punishment of the grave and achieving
tranquillity in it.

When the Angels of punishment try from all sides in the grave to
approach the recitor of this Surah, this Mubarak Surah rebukes the
Angels,

"Do not come close to this person because he used to recite me". The
Angels will reply, "We have been sent by Him Whose Speech you are".
The Surah replies, "Await until I return and do not go near this
person".

This Surah Mubarak proceeds to the Divine Court in the Presence of
Allah and disputes with Him is such a manner that no creation of Allah
has the courage or strength to do so. So much so that there is a delay
in the pardoning of the recitor and this Sacred Sura again requests to
the Almighty Lord,

"This person regularly recited Me and You did not forgive him. If I am
not Your Words, then peel me off from your Kitaab (Quran)".

Then, the Merciful Creator will reply, "Go, I have forgiven him".

Surah Mulk will immediately proceed to Jannah and get silk clothes, a
comfortable pillow, flowers and fragrance, and then go back to the
grave. It will then console the reciter and affectionately say to him,
"I hope that you did not get frightened due to My delay in returning
to you!"

This Sura will lay the comfortable bedding on the floor of the grave
and the order will come from Allah to the Angels of Punishment to
return at once.

Ouch!

If you think you’re having a bad day, wait till you die. You’ll have the worse time EVER. It all actually depends on how you live your life on earth. One thing is certain; it won’t be like a rollercoaster or a pony ride and you and I WILL die one day.

Dying in front of a cameraman or watching some actor playing dead is easy money but have you really thought about the actual process of dying? I do, sometimes…Most of us aren’t scared of dying or death because we usually think that we still have plenty of time to kill. Ironic is it not?

Most people kill their time by talking RUBBISH, talking about other people, talking about people’s spouses / relative / people they know and don’t know, wealth they wish they had, which stores are having grand sales, what happened yesterday or what’s going to happen tomorrow, what they had for dinner / lunch / supper / breakfast, what they did during summer and the list continues. P2P (People 2 people) . Observe from now on.

Have you ever heard of somebody talking about how eerie someone’s death was? A dead on collision, body halved, eyes popped out, died without clothes on (while having illegal sex), hung over a tree, limbs lying here and there and so on. The point is, have you ever imagine how you death will be? Maybe you’ve imagined yourself being run over by a moving truck or maybe drowning in a pool of shame surrounded by swines.

Whatever it is, its TIME to think about death coz if death is always on your mind, the chances of you stealing, raping someone, killing, drinking alcohol and so on would be unlikely. I once heard someone said, “Death is the best teacher”. Would you actually pay someone to remind you about death every second of the day? I didn’t think so. You can’t even afford to get a complete set of Tafseer by Ibn Katseer. Such pity.

Our beloved prophet Muhammad once said, “the smartest amongst you are those who prepares for their death...” (Narrated by Ath Thabrani). Masya Allah, such a good hadeeth for us to reflect upon. On a another hadeeth, “Abundantly remember the destroyer of pleasures (meaning death) (Narrated by An Nasaa’i).

Finally, Al Hasan, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: “Death has exposed the reality of life and left no reason for one with a sound mind to be happy in it." Yunus Ibn ‘Ubayd said: "The remembrance of death deprived us from enjoying our families and wealth." Also, Mutarrif said: "Death spoils for the people of pleasure, their enjoyment. So look for pleasure in which there is no death. The people of Paradise do not die, so their lives will become comfortable, and they do not become sick, so they live a pleasant, eternal life.”

If you’re smart, think. If not, then you’re opposite smart, just like the bird image on display.

Barakallah.

Siapa Yang Percaya?

Hadis Abu Hurairah r.a katanya:

Rasulullah s.a.w berkata: Sesungguhnya aku, Abu Bakar dan Umar mempercayainya.

A little Reminder

As the sun begins to rise,
Every men and women raise their heads,
Awaken from a quick taste of death,
That follows like the shadow that creeps,

You stretch your arms wide open,
While thinking about the dreams you just had,
Finding your way between reality and fake,
Until you regain full consciousness back,

Life is short for those who realizes it,
Seize every opportunity that Allah gives,
For another day of that we may not see,
For the undying love towards faith,

And the chance to plant, collect and give
Reminding one another about this world before time runs out,
The creatures that waits at the graveyard’s gate,
Waving at you everyday until you neglected,

For every fame and fortune you chase,
Try dumping in your grave when you’re dead,
That’s when you realize it wasn’t worth it,
To spend all those times waiting until 3 am,

What you do here will all be known,
You can never hide nor can you run,
You think you get off easy, yes but only for a while,
When this world’s over, that’s when you know.

Perhatian: Kita Sedang Diperhatikan!

Seperti sabda nabi kita:

Dosa datang seperti gelapnya malam

Akan hilang apabila nama Tuhan dikenang,

Kita minta hanya kepada Tuhan,

Semoga dijauhkan malapetaka malam.

Wallahu'alam.

Nasib seorang kafir (sambungan)

Lalu ditanya: Apakah agamamu?

Lalu dia bertanya: Siapakah kau?
Jawabnya: AKU AMALANMY YANG JELEK.
Lalu dia berkata: YA TUHAN JANGAN SEGEREKAN HARI KIAMAT, YA TUHAN JANGAN SEGERAKAN HARI KIAMAT..

Maka dijawab: Allah Tuhanku

Lalu ditanya: Apakah agamamu?

Dijawab: Agamaku Islam.

Dijawab: Dia utusan Allah.

Lalu ditanya: Siapakah engkau?

Jawabnya: Aku amalanmu yang baik.

Lalu dia berkata: Ya Tuhan segerakan hari kiamat supaya segera saya bertemu dengan keluargaku dan kawan-kawanku.

Fear Allah...

Based from the mini survey conducted for almost two weeks, we all had instinctively feared Allah and not satan. Sure...why not? We are ALL God-fearing and we know the consequences of betraying Him. We all (muslims or non-muslims) know that Allah can destroy us in split seconds or snatch away our belongings and pride we hold so close to our chest. He is able to replace us with another group which will be more pious than us, more giving, caring and helpful towards one another. [47:38].

If this data WAS to represent the whole nation, that would mean, every muslim men and women would pray on time, they would cover their body accordingly, they would be cautious when eating out, they wouldn't gossip at all, they wont show how smooth and silky their hair looks or show how tone their skin is to others except to those who is halal, they wouldn't laugh as hard, all would be humble, help those who are poor and most of all, not only they stay away from what has been forbidden and do good deeds but they would also ask others to do good and ask them not to do sinful activites.

All praise only to Allah, if it wasn't for his supreme character, we probably won't even know what the result of this poll. What's that now? Notice how all of us say we fear Allah most (based from the above result) but we still wait until the last minute to perform solah, we still eat at doubtful restaurants, we still show ponytails when wearing hijab (for women) and women still wear outfits which reveals their body shapes and men still wear shorts (above knee), mini shorts anyone? We still watch porn (when you know Allah is watching), we still hold hands in the public (not in MARRIAGE), and we still talk about how bad our bosses are and how annoying our teachers were / are, we still haven't helped those who are in need, those who are poor and those who are hungry. Worse of all, we'd be spooked out if someone said there was a ghost sitting behind you, hiding under your bed or inside the cupboard. Correct me if i'm wrong. Please.

It's NEVER too late too repent and cry for our past mistakes as Allah is The Most Patient (As-Sabur) as well as The Most Forgiving (Al-Ghafur), He let us go on with our lies, not life. In fact, He still let us roam this world freely and let us enjoy and reap a little fraction of this meaningless worldly life. A world which fooled many, a world which will only be realized temporary when we scream our lungs out in agony in our burial ground. Insya Allah.

Bridge Crossing

All Greatness, Beauty, Perfection and Supremacy are only for Allah who has created the heavens and the earth in six days. He has created men and jinns for one purpose only that is to serve Him and not to betray His orders. Our sincerest appreciations to Allah for His blessings and for His remembrance towards all of us, for giving us piety, insha Allah and Islam as our religion, the religion He only accepts and the ONLY “ticket” that will get us to paradise.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam once said:

"Verily the creation of each one of you is brought together in his mother's belly for forty days in the form of seed, then he is a clot of blood for a like period, then a morsel of flesh for a like period, then there is sent to him the angel who blows the breath of life into him and who is commanded about four matters: to write down his means of livelihood, his life span, his actions, and whether happy or unhappy. By Allah, other than Whom there is no god, verily one of you behaves like the people of Paradise until there is but an arm's length between him and it, and that which has been written over takes him and so he behaves like the people of Hell-fire and thus he enters it; and one of you behaves like the people of Hell-fire until there is but an arm's length between him and it, and that which has been written over takes him and so he behaves like the people of Paradise and thus he enters it." [narrated by Bukhari & Muslim]

During Day of Judgement, after all our “performances” have been weighed and all questions have been asked by THE Al-Mighty. Each and every one of us must cross The “bridge” which is known as “Sirat”. It is mentioned that this bridge is thinner than A hair and sharper than a knife. The difficulty level of crossing this bridge will wholly based on the person's piousness towards Allah. It was also mentioned that the thinness of the bridge is as thin as one (1) hair being divided into 7 layers. This bridge will be crossed over by all including The Apostle. There will be those who will cross the bridge as fast as a lightning, there will be those will barely make it across, some would fall down but suddenly saved and so on. It will in definite vary. Its up to us now to decide how we want us to cross it

Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished. But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. [19: 71-72]

Lari Lari Lari

Wallahu'alam.

Crawling in my skin

Allah, the only God there is. Only He knows what each and everyone of us will become of. He knows everything that happened in the past and what lies ahead. He knows if dinosaurs had actually roamed this earth, he knows what creatures inhabit the other planets and he knows how we were developed in our mother's womb. His knowledge covers everything. He is The Most Loving, He is The Most Caring and His Promises are far from doubt.

Recently, researches had discovered that if humans had no skin, we will not know the word pain. We won't feel it if a needle was injected and we won't feel pain if we accidentally stepped on a nail. But that does not mean we are to test the validity of this theory. Allah is The Most Intelligent. If Allah had not put this feature on humans, we are deemed to be shattered and everything would end tragically. Sadly, I hear that there are those who cannot feel pain due to a certain illness or disease that person is suffering.

In the earlier articles, I have mentioned the consequences of those who are disobedient to Allah will suffer great torment in Hell for an unknown period of time. Each time the non-believers skins are burnt, it will be replaced with a new one and that will go on for the eternity. Allah is The Most Forgiving. Another thing that we need to know about the skin is, it is the most sensitive part of our body. Try pinching your hand slightly, you will feel blood come rushing. Allah will make those who did not obey His rules and regulations experience a pain that is indescribable and make the skin as the main "ingredient".

There are terms which are used for those who have escaped from being ravished by fire or the kind. First degree burn, second degree burn and a third degree burn. Burn is generally an injury to the tissues of the body. First degree burn (light) are burns on the upper layer of the skin and those who felt this burn may or may not have a mark. More so like a person who is being "teased" with the tip of a burning cigar or caused by a mild sunburn, very little pain or no pain. Second burns are those whose burns which had slightly touched the flesh of the sufferer which would cause the burned area to be swollen and red. The pain is heartfelt and the color of the burnt skin may be white and discolored in some areas. This is often caused by flames or a person accidently being dragged behind a car (due to friction between the body and the gravel pit or tar pit)

A third degree burn is perhaps the most severe burn anyone could ever experience. Its the type that will leave a scar permanently on your body. Ironically, a person who experienced this won't feel any pain since the nerve endings have been destroyed. Also, this could be the most death defying moments anyone could encounter because you either die during the fire or narrowly escaped death. Possibly, this type of burn can even penetrate to the human bones.

The purpose of this article is to "enlighten" us with the severity of the hellfire that awaits hypocrites, infidels, disbelievers, companions of satan and the such. As mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an:

Those who reject Our Signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire; as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the Penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. [An-Nisaa': 56]

Strong Vs Weak

All praises, glory and thanks due to Allah SWT who has given all of us health, wealth, peace of mind and especially making Islam as our one and true religion. May our Lord situate our beloved Prophet Muhammad in His highest position and may Allah also give His utmost blessings to his family, those who struggled to safeguard and spread Islam through out the world. There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger.

"And I (God) created not the jinn (spirit-like creatures) and humans except they should worship Me (alone).” [Az-Zariyat: 56]

Every single thing that has been created by God serves a purpose. For instance, water, amongst the many natural resources available for us to clean, to drink, to water plants, to use during ablution (wudu’) and many more and not to take for granted. Our hand in the other hand is used to lend a helping hand to our fellow Muslims, brothers or sisters and not to do harm to others or to make ruins on earth or yourself such as cutting trees, dumping garbage in the sea and piercing the places where no one should.

"But seek, with the (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this World: but do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not (occasions for) mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief" [Al-Qasas: 77]

As Muslims, we are advised and encouraged to protect ourselves from the mischievous tactics of satan who will always try to sway us from going to Allah’s direction. Satan and his troops will always device a way to make sure that Adam’s sons are misled into believing that what is sinful seen as virtuous and what is good is seen as sinful. In the Qur’an, satan had promised to Allah that he will make sure each and everyone of us becomes his shameful pathetic melancholy companions in hell. May Allah save us all from the afflicting never ending severe torture of hell.

“And he (Satan) said: ‘I will take an appointed portion of your slaves; I will surely mislead them, and surely, I will arouse in them false desires; and I will surely order them to slit the ears of cattle, and surely, I will order them to change the nature created by God.’ And whoever takes Satan as a protector instead of God has surely suffered a manifest loss. He (Satan) makes promises to them and arouses in them false desires; and Satan’s promises are nothing but deceptions.” [An-Nisaa:118-120]

Our purpose here is often clouded by dangling vague teachings and the thought of life would just end on a full stop. That very idea had led many to astray and becoming the contributing factors of social illnesses in our society. The idea of “everything will be ok once I’m dead” will be the cause of the demise itself. We need to set our preoccupied mind with the belief that…

Life will begin when death becomes of us

Death itself cannot save anyone from being free! and this is what 'brilliant' disbelievers might have thought of, "Death is the solution to every problem". Well, not really, in fact, once pagans / infidels / disbelievers / hypocrites / apostates / wrongdoers are buried, they will be treated with rage and pure harshness like no one could ever imagine.

“The Fire: they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon, and on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): ‘(Now) cause Pharaoh’s people to enter the severest torment!’” [Gafir: 46]

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad had taught us, through his teachings, to read this prayer (doa') just before we give salam during performing salah (solah).

Allah's Apostle used to invoke (Allah): "Allahumma ini a'udhu bika min 'adhabi-l-Qabr, wa min 'adhabi-nnar, wa min fitnati-l-mahya wa-lmamat, wa min fitnati-l-masih ad-dajjal. (O Allah! I seek refuge with you from the punishment in the grave and from the punishment in the Hell fire and from the afflictions of life and death, and the afflictions of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal." [Bukhari]

There are actually many ways to overcome satan's attempts to make us look like a fool during Resurrection Day. One of it would be fasting. There are two types of fasting; involuntary (wajib) and voluntary (sunat) fasting. By fasting, one will be guarded in a sense that your blood veins would shrink? Why this is good? As you know, satan can transform their evilself into whatever forms except imitating The Prophet. This a aligned with the hadeeth narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard the Prophet saying, "Whoever sees me in a dream will see me in his wakefulness, and Satan cannot imitate me in shape." Abu 'Abdullah said, "Ibn Sirin said, 'Only if he sees the Prophet in his (real) shape.'" [Bukhari]

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Fasting is a shield.

So, satan can alter themselves into the smallest form or to its biggest form. he will actually travel into our blood passage and this can be confirmed by the hadeeth below:

Safiyyah reported that the Prophet saw said: "Verily, satan flows in the blood stream of Adam's descendents." [Bukhari]

When a person is fasting, it will be more difficult for satan to get into his veins because that person is abstaining his body parts from all that is forbidden when fasting. Such as talking non sense, gossiping, negative desires and false intentions. The theory here is, we know that every single part of our body will need blood to funtion properly; eyes, ears, heart and so on. If satan is able to penetrate into our eyes for example, satan will arouse us to watch obscene scenes or to perform sinful acts. Ears, satan would encouraged us to listen to gossips, listen to "wasted" music, arousing beats and so on and so forth. The underlying idea here is satan will do what he can to make Allah wrathful.

Men may prefer buldging muscles but does this really mean that they are strong? Some may agree but the rest might not. Nevertheless, in Islam the strongest person is those who can refrain from getting angry even when he is wrong and especially when he is right. Interestingly enough, many of us tend to snap easily when someone started to make false allegations or spreading rumours about us or whatever that is that makes us angry. Weak are those who cannot control their emotions, desires and lust. In conclusion, in Islam, there are many ways to protect oneself from the angst of satan and his clan. By far the most effective way of training oneself to be strong mentally and not just by lifting dumbbells..

The Prophet said, "When a human being is laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their foot steps, two angels come to him and make him sit and ask him: What did you use to say about this man, Muhammad ? He will say: I testify that he is Allah's slave and His Apostle. Then it will be said to him, 'Look at your place in the Hell-Fire. Allah has given you a place in Paradise instead of it.' " The Prophet added, "The dead person will see both his places. But a non-believer or a hypocrite will say to the angels, 'I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say! It will be said to him, 'Neither did you know nor did you take the guidance (by reciting the Quran).' Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever approaches him except human beings and jinns." [Bukhari]

The more money you have the more.....

In The name of Allah, The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Being RICH is what the majority of us aimed for. Perhaps, the remainder would prefer a mediocre lifestyle and only few of us would "enjoy" being poor. Not many of us are willing to give up on our prized possessions such as collectibles, antiques and valuables. Humans often cling on to the things that are temporary. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w once said that the one thing the son of Adam love most if their belongings and they will never grow old clinging on them. The other thing that was mentioned by The Prophet was that old men and women will never grow old (get tired) praying that Allah would give them long life.

Rasulullah s.a.w once said that the one thing that the son of Adam fear most is death when in fact death is better for them if they knew. We can learn hefty from Prophet's sayings. As mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an:

O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and a Warner, And as one who invites to Allah's (Grace) by His leave, and as a Lamp spreading Light. [Al-Ahzab: 45-46]
Amazingly, many scientists are trying to find a ways to help people live "forever" and harder than it is for one to believe, they have"found" a way to live forever or at least live longer. Cloning and applying an anti aging medicine they say will do the trick. Well, the fact that matter is, it can never be done. Many may not realize this but death will come and one can never escape death.

The parable of those who reject Faith is as if one were to shout like a goat-herd, to things that listen to nothing but calls and cries: deaf, dumb, and blind, they are void of wisdom. [Al-Baqarah :171]

Obviously, these scientific breakthrough(s) are more than just a scam of a corporate mastermind to suck suckers money. Every single event that is happening in the whole universe is in Allah's mystic Knowledge. He knows how many leaves fall, how many fishes died at sea, how many people got lost in the woods and what bad intentions one has. Even if one jumps off the edge of Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, he or she may not die if its not the time yet (do not try it though). You hear many similar incidents like these going on everywhere through out the world. Many of us may say its luck but actually its Allah's willing. As a muslim, there are six (6) pillars of Iman and there are as below:

1) Belief in Allah;

2) Belief in the angels;

3) Belief in the revealed books;

4) Belief in the commissioned Messengers (peace be upon them).

5) Belief in the resurrection and the events of Qiyamah.

6)Belief in the predestination by Allah of all things, both the (seemingly) good and the (seemingly) bad.

Unfortunately, these pillars are often overlooked by most of us. Can we honestly tell ourselves that we can name each of the 10 angel's name and what their duties are? Or do we really know the 20 compulsory characteritics of The All-Mighty? Ironically, most of us would know our partner's favorite food, drinks, color and so on. True what some say, to love is to know and vice versa. Nonetheless, Allah is The Most Kind and The Most Merciful, we can take the time to love Allah more than what we own through reading, thinking and observing.

As mentioned in the earlier para, money is used to enjoy what Allah had created for us. We can buy the things we love such as food, cars, houses and so on. Greed is another thing. In this spectacular arena, we compete and we strive for that tiny pride. In a competition, there will always be losers and winners. And winners always have the last laugh and they will have most of what they bargained for. For losers, the least they will get would be a pat on the back.

Which do you think is much better? Being a loser or a winner?

Not many people realize this but In Islam, every tears we shed, every joy we shred, every gifts and prizes we received and every waste we make will be questioned in front of Allah one day. So, everything that comes to us whether its good or bad comes with a catch! The more you things you have, the most questions will be thrown at you during Judgement Day. And more money equals more responsibility! This is not to say that having plenty of money is not advisable in Islam but its how you treat the money. For instance, if you give charity to the poor, build mosques, build health centers and so on and NOT to beautify your name, to boast, BUT to set a good example, then insya Allah, you will be rewarded with a great bounty here or after this world has perished. BUT if you spend lavishly, give charity to the poor and boast about it, or insult them in an insulting manner, then insya Allah, hellfire is a better "home" for you.

I came across an article I read about Prophet Isa (Jesus). One day he was walking and heard noices of someone calling for help, suffering and struggling in extreme distress. He listened closely and discoverd the noice came from a nearby graveyard. One of the miracle given to Prophet Isa was to wake the dead. So when he approached the grave where the noice was, he asked from Allah The All-Knower to wake the person inside that grave. And with Allah's consent, the person was now standing in front of Prophet Isa. He began to ask questions as to why he was being tortured . So when asked whethere the man prayed (salat) five times a day, he said that he did! When asked if he fasted (sawm), and he also said yes! He admitted that he was a pious person when he was alive. Astonised, Prophet Isa then ask the man what did he do to receive such treatment?

The man then told Prophet Isa his story. When he was alive, he was a woodsmen. Everday I would go the jungle, cut wood and sell them to those who needed them. One fateful day, I was approached by a customer who gave me money in advance and was asked to send the firewood at his place. So, I went to search for firewood in the jungles. After obtaining the agreed bundle of firewoods, I nicely bind them together and head towards the buyer's place. On my way to his house, I felt hungry so I stopped by to a nearby restaurant.

With a full stomach, I began my journey back. While walking, I felt that there was something stuck between my teeth. I used different methods to get rid of it; tounge and fingernail but none of them did the job. I decided to take a little bit of that stack of firewood I was carrying over my shoulder. Finally, it came off. After dropping of the firewood at the buyer's home, I went straight home. I was tortured 70 years just because I did not ask permission from the buyer to use the timberwood I sold to him as a toothpick. I didn't think Allah would even look a tiny matter as such as this...

On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the Deeds that they (had done). Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. [Al-Zalzalah: 6-8]

Cancer expected to skyrocket in Asia from yahoo news

Assalamu'alaikum wbt,

I hope that everyone is in good health and always in Allah's blessings. I just found an article about cancer and why it happened. Perhaps my article "40 days and 40 nights" I posted last Thursday can be of help. The task is simple; read the article I wrote and the article below and compare. May Allah save us all from the day when there will be no buy & sell and friendship means nothing.

By MARGIE MASON, AP Medical Writer Thu May 31, 5:51 PM ET

SINGAPORE - Asia is bracing for a dramatic surge in cancer rates over the next decade as people in the developing world live longer and adopt bad Western habits that greatly increase the risk of the disease.

Smoking, drinking and eating unhealthy foods — all linked to various cancers — will combine with larger populations and fewer deaths from infectious diseases to drive Asian cancer rates up 60 percent by 2020, some experts predict.

But unlike in wealthy countries where the world's top medical care is found, there will likely be no prevention or treatment for many living in poor countries.

"What happened in the Western world in the '60s or '70s will happen here in the next 10 to 20 years as life expectancy gets longer and we get better control on more common causes of deaths," said Dr. Jatin P. Shah, a professor of surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, who attended a cancer conference last month in Singapore.

"The habit of alcohol consumption, smoking and dietary changes will increase the risk of Western world cancers to the Eastern world," Shah said.

An estimated 40 percent of cancers worldwide can be prevented by exercise, eating healthy foods and not using tobacco, according to the World Health Organization.

But more people in Asia are moving into cities and becoming overweight and obese from inactivity. They are replacing fruits and vegetables with fatty meals full of meat and salt, which is leading to increases in stomach and colon cancers. Meanwhile, traditional diseases like malaria are killing fewer people — building an aging population that's a prime target for cancer.

The effect is already startling, with the Asia-Pacific making up about half of the world's cancer deaths and logging 4.9 million new cases, or 45 percent, of the global toll in 2002.

That number is projected to leap to 7.8 million by 2020 if nothing changes, according to Dr. Donald Max Parkin, a research fellow at the University of Oxford who is a leading authority on global cancer patterns and trends.

China alone, with its booming economy and 1.3 billion people, is home to about one-fifth of the world's new cases, compared to about 13 percent in the U.S. and 26 percent in Europe, Parkin said. Heart disease remains the top killer in China, but cancer is a close second.

Cancer deaths are slowly dropping in the United States, with slight declines recorded in 2003 and 2004. A decrease in smoking, coupled with early detection and better treatment of tumors is credited with the positive results — the first U.S. decline in cancer deaths since 1930.

Smoking is on the rise in Asia, where it's common to see people lighting up in airports, restaurants and even hospitals. Lung cancer makes up the bulk of all cases regionwide, followed by stomach and liver cancers. It also remains the biggest cancer killer worldwide.

"Lung cancer is the big one because of cigarette smoking. There are many tobacco advertisements — everywhere," said Dr. You-Lin Qiao from the Cancer Institute and Hospital in Beijing, who added that the odds are stacked against those diagnosed in China. "No matter if you're rich or poor, if you get lung cancer you die. There's no treatment at all."

While Americans and Europeans have been abandoning smoking, an estimated 300 million men are puffing away in China — equal to the entire U.S. population. If nothing changes, a third of Chinese men under age 30 are predicted to die from tobacco, with lung cancer already the biggest cancer killer there.

Smokeless tobacco is also a big problem in Asia's other giant, India, where many men and women chew some form of tobacco. Mouth cancer makes up half of all new cases in parts of the country.

A lack of vaccines that prevent cancer-causing viruses is another obstacle for Asia, which is home to about three-quarters of the world's liver cancers, caused largely by Hepatitis B infections.

A vaccine guarding against the virus has been available since the early 1980s and is routinely given to children in Western countries, but it is still not reaching large swaths of the Asia-Pacific.

Some experts worry it could take years before the new vaccine for the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus, or HPV, is available to women in developing countries. The three shots currently cost about $350 in the U.S. and are 70 percent effective against preventing HPV, the main cause of cervical cancer. It is already the No. 2 cause of cancer among women in Asia, after breast cancer.

"The problem is so huge that it's very difficult for us to know where to start," said Dr. Franco Cavalli, president of the nonprofit International Union Against Cancer. "All the new cancer treatments are so expensive, that already in the affluent countries we are not able to pay for them. ... So imagine what that means for low-income countries where you have $20 a year per person for health expenditures."

Regular screening, such as Pap smears and mammograms, is too costly for many poor countries. Treatment with radiation or chemotherapy is unfathomable for most. And in Asia, many patients seek help from hospitals in the late stages of disease after traditional medicine has failed to cure them.

Monika Bardhan of Malaysia's NCI Cancer Hospital has seen a dramatic increase in cancer patients over the past four years. "It's staggering. Every day I see a patient with breast cancer — I just hold my own and say a prayer."

The way you live is the way you die

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious (Ar-Rahman), The Most Merciful (Ar-Rahim)

This expression is taken from a song I used to listen to and I had thought about this phrase for many times and wondered what it meant. After reading plenty of books and articles, I have now able to define what it means, at least I think so. Alhamdulillah.

Have you ever seen people died over drug or died while playing soccer or died doing what they do? Do you know the Australian "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin? He was killed by a deadly stingray. I heard that he had his ways to nature and this is true, in fact, he had had close shaves before the final run. The bottom line is, he died doing what he did best. A drug addict will probably die from taking too much drug; a stunt actor/rider/driver would probably die from doing a dangerous breath-taking event. I have just googled “stunt dies” in the search box and found this

A motorbike stunt rider has died after crash-landing while trying to jump between two ramps at a festival at Exmouth in Western Australia”. [www.news.com.au]

As a faithful servant of The Al-Mighty, we pray and hope to die peacefully [husnul-khotimah] . And then probably, you might ask? What the point? You see, death is the first step towards meeting Allah and if a person died having said shahadah (Laa Ilaa Ha Illallah), the perhaps, that person, InsyaAllah, will meet His Creator in once piece and vice versa. But we are warned not to judge people, not to say the things we do not have knowledge of. That kinda reminds of someone who likes talking about bad things (even if it is true) of that person is called "ghibah" or slander. It is strongly forbidden in Islam. Ghibah or slander is mentioned many times in the Qur'an:

'O ye who believe! let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor let some women laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: and those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong. [Surah al-Hujurat:11]

Now, I know for a fact that women are more inclined to gossiping but NOW, men are also slowly 'descending' to that part of the hill. But both sexes should even start slander in the first place as it will and has proven in history that it can only bring disorder in the community. The theory is that people have the tendency to exaggerate one matter because otherwise, it would NOT be spicy enough for people to hear. Let's experiment...

A says to B, "Hey! I heard a house lizard fell into the pond.."
B says to C, "Hey! I heard a lizard fell into the pond.."
C says to D, "Hey! I heard a baby croc fell into the pond.."
D says to E, "Hey! I heard a croc fell into the pond.." I hope you see where this is going because you DONT WANNA KNOW what Y said to Z.

So, the point is yes, it IS fun to exaggerate but if you're talking about someone, then its best if you just leave them alone. I hear that there are instances where slander can be a good deed. You can tell your friend that a person is a thief or a rapist and so on so that people are extra catious when he or she is around that person.

Up to this point you may think that I have gone beyond the main heading and yes! You are right but its not entirely out of the point. You see when you like gossiping, on the phone, at work, while taking a shower (I don't know if thats possible), and so on and so forth, you will probably, insyaAllah, die that way i.e. while you mouth is running. I actually had the intent to quote one of The Prophet's hadith about how a person's habit will be 'part' with him but I can't seem to find it anywhere. May Allah forgive us for all of our sins and wrong-doings.
